The London West Hollywood has appointed hospitality veteran Edward Costa, Jr. as its new GM.
Mr. Costa will oversee all aspects of the West Hollywood property, recognized by Travel+Leisure Magazine’s 2010 World’s Best Awards as “the No. 1 hotel in California.”
Mr. Costa heads to Los Angeles after three decades of hospitality work on the East Coast.
Prior to joining The London West Hollywood, he served as executive director of food and beverage for the legendary Waldorf Astoria New York, overseeing 800 employees and 40 managers.
During his first year of tenure, the property enjoyed a $1.8 million increase in profits over the prior year.
Previous positions include director of operations/hotel manager for the Regent Boston at Battery Wharf, partner and general manager of the downtown restaurant, lounge and wine bar Vinalia, manager of the luxury five-star Boston Harbor Hotel, among other management work in Massachusetts.
Mr. Costa was named among “40 Under 40” Top Business Professionals by Boston Business Journal.
