A major dating site just released every woman’s dream list, their top ten cities for sensitive men, and surprise! - West Hollywood stands in third place.
The tweet Chemistry.com sent out announced: “Today we posted the Top Ten Cities where women can find sensitive men. Do you agree with our list?”
Apparently the girls at Chemistry.com looked at the firm’s “personality types” culled from applications to locate the cities women ought to move to in order to locate that perfectly sensitive man.

No one told Chemistry.com, though, that over 37 percent of West Hollywood’s population is gay male.
The city itself has 19,250 males residing in it, of which 13,000 identify as gay males.
Given that something over 5,000 of those residents are Russian-speaking Jews (and probably not dating online), and 2,000 of those are males, we’re left with something like 4,000 straight men, many of whom are already in a relationship.
Despite the fact that the firm offers gay online dating services, the accompanying image depicts several heterosexual couples, one man holding roses and another holding his dog (we did not check with the expert, Rick Santorum, but presume Chemistry.com does not allow man-on-dog dating).

“Using our data based on the personality types of American singles, we were able to pinpoint the cities with the highest concentrations of softhearted men– and you may be surprised by where these gallant gents are residing!

“Our data revealed that many of the most sensitive men live along the east coast from Florida to New York.
Interestingly, the top 3 cities are all popular vacation destinations too: Pompano Beach, Florida, one of America’s favorite beach towns ranks #1.
Roanoke, Virginia, famous for the Blue Ridge Parkway comes in 2nd.
West Hollywood, California, home of the legendary Sunset Strip, nabbed 3rd place.
Chemistry.com asked their chief scientific advisor, Dr. Helen Fisher, to weigh in on the findings:
“Men do have a sensitive side. They want to please. But different men do it differently; and these 10 cities are packed with a certain kind of man, what I call BUILDERS — men who express a constellation of personality traits linked with the serotonin system in the brain,” says Dr. Helen Fisher, Chief Scientific Advisor to Chemistry.com.
“Sensitive men, known as builders, are traditional. They deeply value loyalty, duty, respectability and proper moral conduct. They want to do the “right” thing. So builders go way out of their way to keep their social relationships running smoothly.
“So they watch, listen, and gauge what they need to do to help others and they do it naturally. It’s these chivalrous qualities that make a sensitive man,” she said.
