After adopting the 4 yr. old neutered male from Lhasa Happy Homes on January 3, executive director Randee Goldman reports that a West Hollywood resident let Kringle escape through an open gate of her Norton and Harper Avenues apartment on January 8.
Ms. Goldman asserts the animal guardian did little to nothing to find the dog after he made his break, even leaving town for several days.
She told WeHo News, “[Kringle] had only been living there less than five days and had no attachment to her or the home, so he is lost.”
The person who rescued and then lost Kringle has not responded to Ms. Goldman’s calls, the rescue specialist said.

Although releasing the dog into her custody with appropriate tags – a microchip and a Lhasa Happy Homes ID tag – apparently the new guardian “cut off his collar and ID tag and did not replace it with a new one,” according to Ms. Goldman, putting on, “a collar with no ID that was orange and white.”
Ms. Goldman described Kringle as shaved down, charcoal and white – and “still thin; he was emaciated at the shelter and we had just begun to fatten him up when he was adopted,” she said.
Kringle turns out to be “ AFRAID OF CAMERAS,” according to the Ms. Goldman, who oversees a couple dozens volunteers committed to rescuing small breed dogs.
“We are devastated at his loss and hope that you can help us find him, she said, appealing to whoever found Kringle to notify her at LhasaHappyHomes@aol.com or by calling 310.391.0095.
