Here was a committed, compassionate hard-working bright young man, who fought AIDS to a standstill for 20 years, only to be ravaged and taken from us by liver cancer in the prime of his life.
If anyone was due a long and happy life, it was Howard.

Here is a harridan that William Faulkner would love to have created, yet here she is, raking in millions for a book she didn’t write about a life she didn’t lead.
Yet there are these Lane Bryant customers who grovel at her every stupid utterance.

I am sad to admit that democracy is no0t working in America. We have too many cretins who, alas, we have elected who are too busy worrying about their image or their reelection contributions to really do something about such important issues for our lives as health care and the economy.
How can a decent American citizen continue to support such outrageous ill-serving people like Orrin Hatch and Mitch McConnell and their Republican lemmings.
Why isn’t President Obama a little more forceful with his own recalcitrant Democrat senators, and telling them, support this Health Bill or don’t count on me to come at any of your election rallies.
Frankly, Joe Lieberman and Eric Cohen are making me anti-Semitic. Thankfully, we in WeHo have Henry Waxman, one of the few truly dedicated human beings in Washington.Those German automobile manufacturers;

whose fathers and grandfathers engineered those death camps where millions were slaughtered trying to use “Christmas” as a sales incentive!
Customer service departments of banks, credit card companies, telephone companies, insurance companies (et al);
who are determined to make us deal with Indians or Pakistanis with phony American names and accents who have not the faintest clue of why one is calling nor how to solve their problems.
Women drivers on their cell phones;
not caring what traffic regulations they fail to observe or who they nearly hit on their merry way to their nail salons or investment brokers.

who feel they can best earn their money by spewing racial and political hatred and creating fear and doubt among the easily-led audiences they attract. If indeed there were a God he would provide permanent laryngitis to the Glenn Becks and Lou Dobbs and Sean Hannitys and Rush Limbaughs of this world.
Some of our sheriffs;
for not deigning to get out of their cars to do something drastic about the increasing amount of gay bashing in and around WeHo.
Those fatherless rapacious moguls at Time-Warner Cable;
for using their WeHo monopoly to drain us dry. Where are we on getting some competition to show T-W the door and put their fiber optics where they’ll do the most good.

Lest we forget, the greedy, rude and unrepentant managers of the WeHo banks;
especially Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Chase, for their continuing efforts to ignore the ordinary customer and drown us with made-up charges.
I could go on, but I believe each of you has your own reason, at least some of the time, to believe that if there is a compassionate, merciful God, he is on a lengthy vacation.
For the God-fearing or Godless, may you enjoy your Thanksgiving feast, while I hope that all I condemned above will choke on their drumsticks.
