By WeHo News Staff, West Hollywood, California (Monday, April 13, 2009)West Hollywood has traditionally been the cheapest place to grab a cab in LA, but those days are at an end, given approval of a taxi fee rate hike at last week’s City Council meeting.
Currently, West Hollywood “drop rates,” the price at which the ride begins, is 40 cents lower than in Los Angeles.
The discrepancy is often taken advantage of by drivers who pick up passengers and drop the fare at the LA rate, hoping they are unaware of the difference.
