Federal Prop 8 Hearing Put On Fast Track
By WeHo News Staff, West Hollywood, California (Thursday, July 2, 2009)

A federal judge today declined to temporarily block enforcement of Proposition 8, but placed the federal legal challenge over California's anti-gay marriage Constitutional amendment on the court’s fastest track to trial.

"What happens here is only a prelude to what is going to happen later,''... [full story]

Pets By Karen Stevens, Santa Barbara/West Hollywood, California (Thursday, July 2, 2009)

While Michael Jackson fans are reminiscing about the King of Pop with tear-filled tributes and mushy memorials, pet lovers are remembering the Gloved One’s apparent addiction to exotic animals and the controversy his home-grown “zoo” created over the years.

Given that eighty five percent of our residents live in condos or apartments with limited green space, our major parks are subject to intense use, but to exchange trees for parking? Come on.... [full story]
